'Cause I know you wanna know....

I don't want you rabid fans blowing up the Google servers searching for ORAMM results, so I'll give you the general rundown here:
1st place single speed
12th overall
5:51 minutes of riding up and down a bunch of mountains for 65 or so miles and 11,000 feet of elevation
The big grab?
A huge Number One trophy
$80 (covering the entry fee minus the Active.com fee)
No gas card, but a $400 trip to rappel down a waterfall???? If you have read my La Ruta reports you know I'm insanely terrified of heights, so I'm gonna have to see what I can do with this prize. Nobody's dangling this cat off the side of a cliff in a waterfall unless there's a gun pointed at me.
Sam Koerber ending up beating Jeremiah Bishop's 2006 course record (by about 15 minutes) and earned himself a big $500 bonus as a result.
If you look at the 2006 results you'll see the winning single speed time was over an hour slower than this year's, so I'm gonna nab the official unofficial course record for another year. I don't think anybody is paying close attention, so why shouldn't I lay claim to it?
I'll get around to posting a full report tomorrow morning, and just for Peter's sake I will re-live the race minute by minute in the written word so you can feel like you were there with me.

I feel your pain on the acrophobia thing. I gotta flash of fear just from imagining myself on that train trestle. eBay that certificate!
Did my homeboys survive or are they still out in the woods somewhere? (Comment this)
Probably could have shaved 40 minutes off your time if you weren't hauling that heavy chip on your shoulder.
(Good job. Congrats)

Finally when I casually drop your name in conversations it will mean something...aside from 'that guy with a blog and a bike who talks smack a lot'...perhaps now I will get the respect I so deserve!!!
