Clarity

Good things are happening…

Even though I ended up having a stressful day at work with over fifty runs I still feel better about life. I called my credit card company and Dean has charged me for the shipping on The Meatplow, and I feel it coming closer to me. Like I said before, I don’t know what I’m gonna do with it, but I just want it back in my house so I can think about it. Also, Tioga warrantied my old Assgrater 2000.

Happy day. What it lacks in comfort it more than makes it up in the intimidation department. It’s not quite as hard core as Dan Jansen’s stripped SLR with a 1″ X 2″ piece of duct tape for padding, but I’m just not as good as him so I can’t pull that off.

I went to the grocery store to get my Gathering supplies. Cheese, ham, and a 12 pack. Life can be so basic when you only have to take care of yourself. I talked The Wonderboy into going with me to the mountains. It’s not like he doesn’t want to go on an epic ride followed by a lengthy period of inebriation. It’s just that he’s doing the double dad thing too and sometimes you gotta do a little shuffling just to pull a camping, riding, drinking daytrip together. I’ve got a pretty nasty route in mind for us, and I’m pretty sure we’ll bail on the last portion of the ride in favor of getting a head start on the better part of the evening.

…and WTF? I can’t change my font? This is a sign of the apocolypse for sure. Squint bitches. I give up. Whatever this looks like on your screen I don’t give three shits. I tried to fix it 72 times, and I’m giving up. Stupid Al Gore and his lousy internet.

Wow! Tioga actually did that for you? What did you do to get them to accomodate? Threaten violence upon innocent saddles? Tioga doesn’t make it sound as though they will do much of anything on those “Assgrater 2000′s” by the sounds of their literature. You must have divine powers of “bitch” or something.

    Anyway, have some fun already……….

    Guitar Ted,
Actually I called them, and they told me to send it back. I told them I used it off-road, and it wasn’t a problem. I wouldn’t have bothered to send it back, but some guy on MTBR had his warrantied so I figured I’d give it a whirl.
I’m saving it for the Thy.

    Simple meal deal!

Hey, a couple of lads from up here were riding with some of your boys down there in Pisgah last weekend (Fritz, Greg, Craig,…). They said they had a great time!
Friggen weather must be nice there.

Up here, more snow is on its way. Weather gods are not good to us right now.

    Come on summer!

    Hi man,

I know the Gathering is taking place this weekend.
I am now in my hotel near Durham. I kind of regert I did not plan to come before the weekend, and get there. I thought it will be too complicated and all, and did not know if you’ll accept me (an international stranger).

Anyways, I hope to visit your area at a later time this summer.

    Great Blog!

    Cheers

    Ran,
There’s no such thing as a stranger if you ride a bike.

  13. Ran says:

    Cheers for that, my friend.
Next time I come, I’ll email you guys & either bring my 29er (RIG) or try and “rent”/”lend” (or whatever verb that is) a decent L-XL bike for a weekend, and join you.

(My wife says she loves your blog as well. She is also a part of the MBing family (; )

And in the same spirit if you ever feel you want to come visit Israel, know that you have quite a few fans there (including myself) and we’ll be delighted to host you, and show you around (ever tried desert biking… ?)

    Cheers
    Ran
