Head bangers in leather

What would I do if I were in Tinker's shoes? Would I ride like the wind, grow dreads of doom, or maybe just get a better tan? Hmmm... Well I don't have to guess anymore because I bought Tinker's shoes at Tinker's Garage and Swag Shop. It just so happens that DTJ and I have the same shoe size, and I had some feet that needed shod. $30 for a pair of Sidi SRS Dragons in awesome shape. Who needs sponsors when I can just live off the scraps of others? As always, I did not leave good enough alone. I swapped out the Micro Lock II buckles for some old skool original flavor. I've been a Sidi fan since the original two strap Dominator, and I was never impressed when they "upgraded" the buckle to a flimsier (albeit cooler looking) buckle that easily clogs with mud .

Speaking of Cannondale racing robots, does anybody else think that it's weird that 24 Hour World Champ Craig Gordon of Australia rides and American bike and the 24 Hour Single Speed World Champ is going to ride an Australian bike?? Is that just the universe trying to find balance, or a sign of the apocalypse?

Did I ride over the weekend? Yeah, The Wonderboy and I followed The Dude down the nastiest trail in Wilson's Creek. It was just about impossible to walk down the trail because it was so ridiculously steep. The Dude attempted to ride a lot of the sillier sections, but he is a 50/50 rider. What's that? He'll try anything as long as he has a 50/50 chance of making it. It made for some good spectating for sure. Maybe next week I'll go for a ride and do some riding with a little less butt sliding down the mountain. At least I know Tinker's stinkers were good for some hike-a-bike action.

1 - Well, it's difficult to explain if you don't live here. There is like, maybe, one cool bike company here, in a country with the population of Cali. Anyway, just think of us as a bunch if convicts with a 'little brother' complex and an overdeveloped sense of skepticism. It's hard to do biz here, which is why I'm more then happy to sell to 'Mericans coz you guys give love to the little guy! (Comment this)

Rich, no GA state SS championship next weekend? Lee thinks that your wheel is going to make him the fixed gear champion of the georgia. (Comment this)
